Last week myself and Bill Hopkins had the pleasure of catching up with Hakan Guvercin (Regional Manager North & East at Irish Rail) who is really starting to see the benefits of installing the A-IOT Smart Hub 10 months ago at Donabate Station. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be working with Hakan and Irish Rail on such an exciting project.
The A-IOT Smart Hub provides Lighting, CCTV, 4G/5G, and Decibel sensing whilst reducing its reliance on the grid by harnessing renewable energy through Solar & Wind.
Hakan now has full remote access to a range of reporting tools that benefit Irish Rail not only on their sustainability journey but well into the future.

Since installation on the 17/05/2024:
The Smart Hub has only had to consume 155.43 kWh from the grid.
The unit has been able to partially run on battery power, which the renewables have helped charge, resulting in an energy saving of 21.99 % compared to if the unit was connected to the grid 24/7.
This energy generated from the renewables instead of being pulled from the grid has saved 10.21 kg of CO2.
The Smart Hub has been off grid (running on battery power alone) for a combined total of 100 days and 17 hours out of a possible 269 days.
